KINSEY DINSDALE

Fitness Instructor

Hi, my name is Kinsey Dinsdale. I was involved in sports all the way through college at UNI, where I majored in Health Promotion. I coached competitive cheerleading for 6 years helping kids of all ages learn new skills and build muscle through our strength and conditioning classes. Since having kids of my own I have really strived to set a good example of healthy eating and being physically active. I want to extend a large thanks to the trainers and wonderful NLXF family for the support and making me feel the most confident I’ve ever been since coming back in 2019. Being a fitness instructor for over a year with NLXF has taught me so much about leading group fitness, helping members be accountable and reach their goals!

With that, I’d love to take what I’ve learned and help others feel the same way and strive to reach their goals.

SUMMER MEYER

Fitness Instructor

My name is Summer Meyer. I grew up here in Cedar Falls. I attended the University of Iowa where I studied Elementary Education and met my husband. I started teaching fitness classes in Iowa City while in college and fell in love with the energy created in group fitness. I got my certification in Spin and have enjoyed teaching it for 17 years. I got my certification for Body Pump after my oldest son was born 8 years ago. I have always enjoyed lifting weights, but saw how beneficial strength training was after having kids. After moving back to Cedar Falls, I received my TRX certification. Again, furthering my love for strength training. I adore teaching class because the people are so great! I love seeing people from beginners to elite athletes reach fitness goals and improve their physical and mental health. I love getting to know the members and helping them in their fitness journeys.

With that, I’d love to take what I’ve learned and help others feel the same way and strive to reach their goals.

Classes Offered:

ALLISON PIN

Fitness Instructor

Hello yogis! My name is Allison Pin and I’m a yoga teacher here at FIT. I started my yoga journey shortly after I had a severe ankle injury in 2017, which resulted in metal implants. I turned to yoga once I was back on my feet as it helped with my balance, strength, and stability. I moved to the Cedar Valley in 2021 from Lexington, Kentucky after graduating with my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. I work full-time as an engineer now, but yoga takes up a lot of my time outside of my engineering job. I received my 200 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) here in the Cedar Valley in the beginning of 2023. I enjoy fast and fun vinyasa flows, but I also enjoy slower, more intentional and thoughtful practices with deep stretching, breath work, and meditation. You’ll find a variety of flows I’ll lead, and that will reflect in the music. I hope to see you on the mat as I keep advancing in my teaching journey. Namaste!

Hi everyone, my name is Lane Hovenga and I have been working at FIT for about a year and a half. I am originally from Aplington Iowa, and I moved back to Waterloo after a 4 year stint in the United States Marine Corps. Physical fitness has always been an important part of my life and since my return I have continued the habits I formed in the years prior. I enjoy helping others achieve their definition of fitness and learning new habits and techniques that I can use in my own life. Don’t be a stranger!

ANNA LOVE

Fitness Instructor

Hello! My yoga journey began in the late days of 2021. I fell in love with the practice after getting past the “fish out of water” phase. Yoga played a huge role in improving both my mental & physical well being. The next step in my practice was attaining my 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certificate in early 2023. I’m native to the Cedar Valley and have developed a love for this area & the people in it. My full time position is sales consulting at City Builders, helping home owners with their exterior home improvement projects. I also operate a delightful little side gig, Loony Balloonies and Face Painting, where I bring
lots of smiles to events in the Cedar Valley & surrounding areas. I sub for my friends that teach regularly here at FIT so you’ll see me splashed around the schedule or practicing alongside you in Sydney & Allison’s classes. My classes are typically paced in a way that allows several breath cycles in each pose. Both modifications and extra challenges are cued, as well as reminders to focus on the breath, practice self-compassion & other tips & techniques to enhance your practice. See you in the hot room!

OLIVER FETTKETHER

Personal Trainer

If you’re looking to build muscle, lose some fat, or maybe even a combination of both I’m the man for you. Hi, my name is Oliver Fettkether and I am currently a student at the University of Northern Iowa with a major in Exercise Science and minor in Strength and Conditioning. Although I don’t graduate until the Spring of ’27, I have done extensive research for the past 4 years and spent many hours learning everything I possibly can about training to build muscle or in scientific terms, hypertrophy training. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). My goals are your goals and together with some hard work and discipline, I feel confident in teaching anyone willing to learn whether you’re just starting or have been training consistently for years. I possess the knowledge needed to be successful in helping others achieve a better version of themselves. ABOUT ME: After playing both Varsity Basketball and Football in High School in my hometown of Dunkerton, I found my true passion in bodybuilding. Unfortunately, life had other plans and in December of ’21, I was diagnosed with cancer. I lost about 50 pounds, most of which was muscle. I have now built myself back and want to share my journey. I am continuously trying to improve and educate myself in all aspects of training, diet, etc. I hope to one day be an online fitness coach and bodybuilding coach and use my education and experience to aid in other people’s fitness journeys.
